The story, as Jesus tells it
He thought he was only carrying water. Tired arms, heavy jars, a party about to fail. Then I asked him for one small thing.
The wine had run out. Nobody wanted the family shamed. I told them, fill the jars. He poured water to the brim. Then it ran red.
He saw it before anyone else did. Ordinary work became the place I showed up. What are you carrying today that I could change?
A verse to hold on to
“Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.”
John 2:7, 10 (KJV)
