Someone Lied About You. I Know That Ache.

The words

Someone lied about you — right to your face, in front of people who mattered — and you couldn't fix it fast enough to stop the damage.

I know that ache. They lied about me in front of everyone I loved, and I let them keep talking. I didn't correct a single one of them.

Some lies were never going to be undone by your voice. Let it go the way I did.

Your peace doesn't need their apology to arrive.

A verse to hold on to

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.”

Isaiah 53:7 (KJV)
